Job Description:
KEY TASKS:
- Performs food preparation as instructed by the Senior Sous Chef and Sous Chef in a professional manner to ensure quality and consistency
- Fully responsible for his/her assigned section when the Sous Chef is absent
- Supply enough mise-en-place to ensure smooth operations
- Assist Senior Sous Chef and Sous Chef to run his kitchen efficiently. Checks preparation and work done to ensure that food quality and standards are maintained
- Prepare food requisition storeroom
- Prepare market list and makes sure par stock of food store inventory
ESSENTIAL AND OPTIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Malaysian citizen
- More than 2 years of experience in a similar field
- Must be skilled at working efficiently and quickly under pressure
- Expected to be passionate and knowledgeable about cooking and food
- Required to work flexible hours in view of the hotel's occupancy and functions
- Fluent in oral and written English and Bahasa Melayu
